Dr. med. Karl Georg Theurer qualified as a medical doctor in 1978 and went on to complete further studies in general surgery, amongst others at the University Hospital of Bonn. His early medical interests were immunotherapy and transplantation immunology. He worked at the Institute for Histology at the Medical University of Hannover with Prof. von Mayers­bach, as well as at the Sloan Kettering Institute for Cancer Research in New York with Prof. Oettgen. He specialises in the area of biomolecular therapies and methods for autologous immunotherapy at the vitOrgan pharmaceuticals group. Since August 2007, Dr. Theurer has been the appointed qualified person as required by Section 14 of the German Medicines Act.
